    Terms and conditions of sale

Article 1 — Purpose and scope

These terms and conditions of sale govern all sales concluded on the website maisonphilidor.fr between Maison Philidor, published by Abdellah El Moufid, 10 rue de Provence, 87220 Feytiat, France (SIRET 994 612 109 00011), and any consumer customer. Placing an order implies full and complete acceptance of these terms.

    Article 2 — Products

The products offered are described as accurately as possible. Photographs are provided for illustration; slight variations in the colour or grain of the wood, inherent in a handmade product, do not constitute a lack of conformity.

    Article 3 — Prices

Prices are shown in euros, including all taxes, excluding delivery costs. Any delivery costs are shown before the order is finally confirmed. Maison Philidor reserves the right to change its prices at any time; products are invoiced at the price in force when the order is confirmed.

    Article 4 — Ordering

The customer selects the products, checks the contents of their basket, enters their delivery details and proceeds to payment. The sale is final once the order is confirmed by email. It is the customer's responsibility to check that their delivery address is correct; an input error is their responsibility.

Article 5 — Accepted payment methods

Payment is made at the time of ordering. The accepted payment methods are exclusively the following:

    • Visa
    • Mastercard
    • American Express
    • Apple Pay
    • PayPal

No other payment method is accepted. We do not accept cheques, bank transfers, cash, cash on delivery, or any split or deferred payment solution.

Transactions are secured by SSL encryption. Maison Philidor never has access to the customer's full card details.

    Article 6 — Delivery area

Orders are shipped to mainland France only. We do not deliver to the French overseas territories or to any destination outside mainland France.

    Article 7 — Delivery times

The times applicable to any order are as follows:

    • Preparation: 1 to 3 working days
    • Transit: 6 to 10 working days
    • Total delivery time: 7 to 13 working days

These times are given in working days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, and run from payment confirmation. A tracking number is emailed as soon as the order is dispatched. See the shipping policy.

Article 8 — Right of withdrawal

In accordance with articles L.221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the customer has 14 days from receipt of their order to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to give a reason.

Maison Philidor commercially extends this period to 30 days from receipt, under the conditions described in the returns and refund policy.

No return can be made without prior agreement. The customer must first write to contact@maisonphilidor.fr; the return address is then provided by email, together with a case number to be written on the parcel.

    Article 9 — Statutory guarantees

All products benefit from the following statutory guarantees, independently of any commercial guarantee:

    • Legal guarantee of conformity — 2 years: articles L.217-3 to L.217-20 of the French Consumer Code. The customer has two years from delivery of the item to take action. They may choose between repair and replacement of the item.
    • Guarantee against hidden defects: articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code. It allows the customer to obtain a refund or a price reduction, within two years of discovering the defect.

To make a claim under a statutory guarantee, write to contact@maisonphilidor.fr.

    Article 10 — Liability

Maison Philidor cannot be held liable for damage resulting from improper use of the product, or for delays or damage attributable to the carrier or to force majeure.

    Article 11 — Personal data

The data collected is processed in accordance with our privacy policy.

Article 12 — Mediation and disputes

In accordance with article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code, the customer may use a consumer mediator free of charge to resolve a dispute amicably. The details of the competent mediator are available on request at contact@maisonphilidor.fr.
